a taste of egypt

LUXOR • CAIRO • GIZA

6 Nights | 7 Days

Only Have a Week?

You don't have to see all of Egypt to experience it deeply.

Not everyone has two weeks to travel.

Sometimes you have seven days.

And we believe those seven days can still be extraordinary.

When time is limited, our answer isn't to squeeze more into every hour. It's to choose what matters most—and give you enough space to actually experience it.

So if we had to choose just two places for a first journey to Egypt?

Luxor and Cairo.

Together, they give you an extraordinary introduction to Egypt.

Luxor takes you into the heart of ancient Thebes, where temples, tombs and the remains of one of the ancient world's greatest cities stretch across both sides of the Nile.

Cairo brings you into the energy of Egypt today while leading toward the places almost everyone has dreamed of seeing since childhood.

And we're saving those for last.

Because some things deserve a finale.

Seven days won't show you all of Egypt.

It isn't supposed to.

Instead, we'll show you two places beautifully.

We'll choose what matters.

We'll leave room to breathe.

And we'll make every day count without making every day exhausting.

However much time you have, let's use it intentionally.

And remember, this is only a sample.

Your seven days may look a little—or completely—different.

We'll create yours together.

LUXOR

Begin in the Heart of Ancient Egypt

After landing in Cairo, we continue south to Luxor.

The city disappears.

The landscape opens.

The Nile winds between green agricultural fields and desert mountains.

And suddenly, you're in Upper Egypt.

Welcome to Luxor.

Ancient Thebes.

And for Mostafa, home.

This is where we'll begin your story.

The Nile at Luxor looking across to the palm-lined West Bank and the Theban hills under a clear sky

DAY ONE | CAIRO → LUXOR

You Made It

Land in Cairo and continue by domestic flight to Luxor.

We'll meet you, get you settled into your hotel and then ask absolutely nothing more of you.

You've traveled far enough.

Shower.

Sleep.

Swim.

Book a massage.

Sit beside the Nile.

Look around and realize:

You're finally in Egypt.

If you arrive with enough energy, we'll gather for a relaxed welcome dinner somewhere local.

Otherwise?

Go to bed.

Egypt will still be here tomorrow.

Today: International arrival • Flight to Luxor • Private transfer • Hotel check-in • Rest • Spa • Welcome dinner

DAY TWO | THE WEST BANK

Into the Mountains of Ancient Thebes

Today we begin properly.

We cross to Luxor's West Bank and head toward the desert mountains where ancient Egyptians created some of their most extraordinary monuments.

Our morning begins in the Valley of the Kings.

Inside selected royal tombs, vivid color, sacred texts and remarkable imagery reveal ancient Egyptian beliefs surrounding death, transformation and eternity.

This isn't history behind museum glass.

You're walking into the places themselves.

From there, we visit the magnificent mortuary temple of Hatshepsut, rising dramatically against the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari.

And then Medinet Habu.

The mortuary temple of Ramesses III is one of Mostafa's favorite places in Luxor—filled with towering architecture, deeply carved reliefs and remarkable surviving color.

And then?

We stop.

No fourth temple.

No racing across town because technically we could squeeze something else in.

We'll have lunch somewhere we love on the West Bank and return to the hotel.

Pool.

Spa.

Nap.

Journal.

Let everything you saw this morning settle.

Tonight, we'll head out again for a relaxed local dinner.

Morning: Valley of the Kings • Hatshepsut Temple • Medinet Habu
Afternoon: West Bank lunch • Pool • Spa • Rest
Evening: Local dinner • Relaxed night

DAY THREE | ABOVE ANCIENT THEBES

See Luxor From the Sky

If you're willing to wake up very early for one morning...

This is the morning.

Before sunrise, you have the option to climb into a hot-air balloon and float above Luxor's West Bank.

As the sun rises, the landscape slowly appears beneath you.

Green agricultural fields.

The Nile.

Desert mountains.

Villages.

Temples.

Ancient burial grounds.

And the enormous landscape of Thebes stretching below.

For all the extraordinary temples and tombs in Luxor, this is one experience that has absolutely nothing to do with walking through another monument.

You're seeing the entire landscape from above.

And it's unforgettable.

After landing, we return for breakfast.

Then—after you've had a minute to come back down to earth—we head toward Karnak.

Built and expanded across many centuries, Karnak isn't simply a temple but an enormous sacred complex.

We'll walk beneath colossal columns, past obelisks and through ancient ceremonial spaces while Mostafa connects the architecture, mythology, religion and history you're beginning to encounter.

Then we stop for lunch.

And rest.

Because tonight, we're going back out.

We'll wander along the Corniche, browse the old Luxor market, look at Egyptian gold or do a little scarf and alabaster shopping.

After dark, we enter Luxor Temple.

Illuminated at night, its statues, columns and ancient stone take on an entirely different atmosphere.

And if you're not ready for bed?

We know a café.

Tea.

Fresh juice.

Shisha if you'd like.

Good conversation.

One last night in Luxor.

Optional Sunrise: Hot-air balloon over Luxor's West Bank
Morning: Breakfast • Karnak Temple
Afternoon: Lunch • Spa • Pool • Rest
Evening: Corniche • Shopping • Old market • Luxor Temple at night • Favorite local café

CAIRO

From Ancient Thebes to the Energy of the Capital

Now we fly north.

Luxor has introduced you to the temples, tombs, kings, gods and beliefs of ancient Egypt.

Cairo adds another layer entirely.

This is a city of movement and contradiction.

Ancient and modern.

Minarets and church bells.

Markets and museums.

Tiny workshops and enormous avenues.

Quiet courtyards and streets buzzing with life.

And somewhere just beyond it all...

The pyramids.

But we're making you wait one more day.

The domes and crosses of a Coptic church rising between old apartment buildings in Cairo.

DAY FOUR | LUXOR → CAIRO

A Change of Rhythm

After breakfast, we fly from Luxor to Cairo.

Once we arrive, we'll get you settled into your hotel and give you time to adjust to the completely different energy of the city.

Lunch.

Spa.

Nap.

Pool.

Then, as afternoon begins to cool, we'll head out for an easy introduction to Cairo.

Perhaps a walk beside the Nile.

A café.

A beautiful dinner.

Maybe a little shopping.

Nothing major.

Tomorrow, we'll explore.

Morning: Flight Luxor → Cairo • Hotel check-in
Afternoon: Lunch • Rest • Spa • Free time
Evening: Gentle Cairo introduction • Dinner

DAY FIVE | OLD CAIRO

Beyond Ancient Egypt

Today we want you to experience another side of Egypt.

We'll step into Cairo's historic neighborhoods, where mosques, churches, markets, artisans, cafés and centuries of everyday life exist alongside one another.

We'll explore some of Cairo's Christian, Jewish and Islamic heritage before wandering deeper into the old city.

But this isn't a day we want to over-structure.

Look up.

Walk down the interesting street.

Peek into the tiny shop.

Drink tea.

Buy something you absolutely did not plan to buy.

Ask questions.

Try something delicious.

We'll have lunch somewhere local and give you plenty of time to wander and shop.

Then it's back to the hotel.

Rest.

Spa.

Pack a little if you'd like.

Because tomorrow is the day you've probably been waiting for.

Morning: Historic Cairo • Christian, Jewish & Islamic heritage
Afternoon: Local lunch • Markets • Shopping • Wandering
Late Afternoon: Hotel • Spa • Rest
Evening: Favorite local restaurant • Early-ish night

DAY SIX | THE GRAND EGYPTIAN MUSEUM & PYRAMIDS OF GIZA

We Saved Something for Last

You've waited all week.

Now it's time.

Our morning begins at the Grand Egyptian Museum.

And because you've already spent several days exploring Luxor, you'll enter it differently than you would have on your first morning in Egypt.

Names will sound familiar.

Gods will be recognizable.

Symbols will mean something.

Kings you've heard stories about throughout Luxor suddenly appear again.

Rather than being your introduction to ancient Egypt, the museum begins connecting pieces of a story you've already started living.

Then we stop for lunch.

Breathe.

And finally...

Giza.

There is a moment when the pyramids first come into view that photographs simply cannot prepare you for.

You've known their shape since childhood.

But now they're real.

We'll explore the Giza Plateau, stand beneath the Great Pyramid and visit the Sphinx.

And we're giving you time.

Time to look.

Time to ask questions.

Time to take photographs.

Time to have that moment when your brain finally catches up with where your body is standing.

Then, as afternoon begins turning toward evening, we leave the busiest part of the plateau behind.

Climb onto a camel and head into the desert.

Behind you, modern Cairo.

In front of you, one of the most recognizable landscapes on Earth.

And then...

Sunset over the pyramids.

Tonight, we'll sit down for one final dinner with those same silhouettes still in view.

Because if you only have one week in Egypt?

This is how we want it to end.

Morning: Grand Egyptian Museum
Afternoon: Lunch • Giza Plateau • Great Pyramid • Sphinx
Sunset: Camel ride overlooking the pyramids
Evening: Farewell dinner with a pyramid view

DAY SEVEN | UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN

A LITTLE TASTE, A LASTING IMPRESSION

As your journey comes to a close, enjoy a leisurely breakfast, look back through the countless photographs you've taken and take a few quiet moments to reflect on just how much seven days can hold.

There will still be places you haven't seen. The temples of Aswan, the wonders of Abu Simbel, the Mediterranean charm of Alexandria, the turquoise waters of the Red Sea and countless other corners of Egypt waiting to be discovered.

And that's part of the beauty of it all.

The goal was never to see everything. It was to experience something meaningful with the time you had—to discover, connect, laugh, learn and perhaps leave with a few new friendships along the way.

You came for a taste of Egypt, but we hope you're leaving with an appetite for more, beautiful memories and a little piece of Egypt forever in your heart.

And whenever you're ready for another helping, we'll be here to welcome you back.

Morning: Breakfast • Final farewells • Reflection time
Afternoon or Evening: Private transfer to Cairo International Airport • Departure (according to flight schedule)

ONLY HAVE A WEEK?

You Still Have Time for Something Extraordinary.

We hear it all the time:

“I would love to come to Egypt...but I only have five or seven days.”

And our answer isn't to tell you that you need more time.

It's to ask:

What matters most to you?

A shorter journey doesn't have to mean a rushed journey.

It simply means we're more intentional about what we choose.

Instead of trying to squeeze Cairo, Luxor, Aswan, Abu Simbel and the Red Sea into one exhausting week, we choose two places and experience them well.

You still walk inside the tombs of ancient pharaohs.

You still stand beneath the columns of Karnak.

You still watch the Nile move quietly through Luxor.

You can still float above ancient Thebes as the sun rises.

You still wander markets, eat at local restaurants and experience pieces of everyday Egypt.

And when the time is right...

You still stand beneath the Great Pyramid.

You still meet the Sphinx.

You still ride into the desert as the sun sets behind Giza.

And—just as importantly—you still have time to sleep.

To sit.

To ask questions.

To enjoy lunch.

To book the massage.

To look around and realize where you are.

Because we don't measure a meaningful journey by how many pins we can put on a map.

However much time you have, let's use it intentionally.

THIS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING

A Taste of Egypt is for the traveler who doesn't have two weeks—but doesn't want their experience of Egypt to feel like a race.

Maybe seven days is all the vacation time you have.

Maybe you're adding Egypt onto a longer international journey.

Maybe this is your first visit and you'd rather experience two places deeply than six places quickly.

Or maybe you're simply someone who believes that more isn't always better.

We agree.

And your seven days don't necessarily have to look like these seven days.

Maybe ancient Egypt is everything to you and you'd rather spend almost the entire week in Luxor.

Maybe you've dreamed about the pyramids your whole life and want more time in Cairo.

Maybe you want to replace a sightseeing day with a spa day.

Maybe you already know you'll come back.

Perfect.

That is exactly what these sample journeys are meant to do.

They aren't packages you have to fit yourself into.

They are simply a glimpse into what is possible.

Whether you have seven days or seventeen, we begin the same way:

With a conversation.

With your interests.

With your travel style.

With the things you've dreamed about.

And with the question:

What would make this journey feel like yours?

When we create your Egypt journey, we start with you—always.
