Sinai & the REd Sea

13 Nights | 14 Days

Where Desert, Mountains & Sea Meet

There is another side of Egypt.

One where rugged desert mountains fall into impossibly blue water. Where mornings begin barefoot beside the Red Sea, afternoons disappear over long lunches at tiny seaside cafés and evenings are spent wandering a boardwalk beneath the stars.

This journey takes you into the Sinai Peninsula—an Egypt that feels completely different from the temples and tombs many travelers first imagine when they think of this country.

We begin in Dahab, a wonderfully laid-back seaside town where divers, Bedouin culture, travelers, yogis and locals have created an atmosphere unlike anywhere else in Egypt. From here, we explore beneath the Red Sea, journey into the desert, climb Mount Sinai and experience the ancient spiritual landscape surrounding St. Catherine’s Monastery.

Then we trade Dahab's barefoot simplicity for Sharm El Sheikh, where island adventures, beautiful resorts, shopping, cafés and unforgettable evenings bring a little more polish to the Red Sea experience.

And finally, Cairo.

Because even on a journey centered around Sinai and the sea, there are some things you simply cannot come all the way to Egypt and miss.

This is Egypt for the traveler who wants adventure—but also wants time to breathe.

Swim. Hike. Snorkel. Wander. Take a yoga class. Book the massage. Order another coffee. Watch the sea. Stay a little longer.

Because sometimes the moments when you aren't “doing” anything become the ones you remember most.

And remember, this is only a sample.

Your journey may look a little—or completely—different. We’ll create yours together.

DAHAB

Come for the Adventure. Stay for the Feeling.

Dahab is difficult to explain until you've experienced it.

The dramatic mountains of Sinai rise behind you. The Red Sea stretches endlessly in front of you. And running between the two is one of our favorite seaside walks in Egypt—a wonderfully quirky boardwalk lined with colorful cafés, restaurants, dive shops, little boutiques and seemingly endless places to sit beside the water.

And then there are the cats.

Somehow, every little café seems to have adopted at least one resident kitty, usually perfectly content to curl up beside you while you drink your coffee and watch the Red Sea.

Dahab has a bohemian spirit that invites you to slow down. You can fill your days with adventure—or happily spend an entire afternoon barefoot beside the sea doing absolutely nothing.

We believe you should experience both.

DAY ONE | CAIRO → SHARM EL SHEIKH → DAHAB

Trading the City for the Sea

Fly from Cairo to Sharm El Sheikh, where we'll meet you and begin the beautiful drive through the mountains of Sinai toward Dahab.

There is no agenda waiting for you when you arrive.

Check into your hotel, unpack, breathe and let your body catch up with your journey.

When you're ready, we'll take our first walk along Dahab's seaside boardwalk and settle into one of the little cafés overlooking the Red Sea.

Shoes optional.

Today: Flight to Sharm El Sheikh • Private drive to Dahab • Hotel check-in • Rest • Seaside walk • Welcome dinner

DAY TWO | THE BLUE HOLE

Beneath the Red Sea

After a slow morning, today we experience one of the things that makes this part of Egypt so extraordinary—the world beneath the water.

Dahab's Blue Hole is one of the area's best-known diving and snorkeling destinations, surrounded by the dramatic meeting of desert mountains and brilliant blue sea.

Depending on your experience and comfort level, your day can be designed around snorkeling or appropriately guided diving.

And there is no need to rush away afterward.

We'll enjoy lunch near the water before returning to Dahab for a long, deliciously empty afternoon.

Book a massage. Take a nap. Find a yoga class. Wander into the shops. Sit beside the sea with a book.

Or choose a café based entirely on which resident cat you like best.

Tonight, we'll wander the boardwalk again for dinner and see where the evening takes us.

Morning: Blue Hole • Snorkeling or diving
Afternoon: Seaside lunch • Massage • Yoga • Rest • Free time
Evening: Dahab boardwalk • Cafés • Dinner by the sea

DAY THREE | THE COLOURED CANYON

Into the Desert

Today we trade blue for gold.

We head into the desert to explore the Coloured Canyon, where layers of sandstone have been shaped by time into narrow passageways, sculpted walls and swirling shades of red, gold, yellow and earth.

Walking through the canyon gives you a completely different sense of Sinai. The sea may be only part of this landscape, but the desert has its own kind of silence.

After our adventure, we return to Dahab.

And then we stop.

The remainder of the afternoon is deliberately left open for lunch, rest, spa time or simply watching the light change over the Red Sea.

Tonight can be as social or as quiet as you want it to be.

Morning: Desert journey • Coloured Canyon • Walking & exploring
Afternoon: Lunch • Rest • Spa • Pool • Reflection time
Evening: Free evening • Boardwalk • Seaside dinner

DAY FOUR | THE BLUE LAGOON

A Day at the Edge of Everything

Today is one of those days when getting there is part of the adventure.

We journey toward the Blue Lagoon, where mountains, desert and intensely turquoise water meet in a landscape that feels wonderfully removed from everything else.

This isn't a day for checking off attractions.

It's a day for swimming, floating, stretching out beside the water and letting several hours disappear without caring very much what time it is.

Bring a swimsuit, sunscreen, something to read and very little ambition.

By evening, we'll make our way back to Dahab for a shower, dinner and an early night.

Tomorrow is yours. Rest, swim, or do nothing at all.

Day: Journey to the Blue Lagoon • Swimming • Beach time • Relaxing by the Red Sea
Evening: Return to Dahab • Dinner • Early night

A reed-shaded café terrace with cushioned seating looking across the bay to Dahab and the Sinai mountains.

DAY FIVE | A SLOW DAY IN DAHAB

Nothing You Have to Do

Today is intentionally yours.

And we mean that.

Sleep late.

Take a morning yoga class. Book a massage or spa treatment. Wander the Lighthouse District and browse the little shops. Find a café overlooking the sea and order breakfast with absolutely no intention of leaving when breakfast is finished.

Walk the boardwalk.

Shop.

Swim.

Journal.

Have another coffee.

Make friends with another cat.

After several days of adventure—and before tonight's journey into the mountains—we want you to have time to simply enjoy the place you've traveled so far to experience.

Later, we'll prepare for our overnight journey toward Mount Sinai.

Morning & Afternoon: Sleep in • Yoga • Spa • Shopping • Lighthouse District • Cafés • Swimming • Completely free time
Evening: Rest • Early dinner • Prepare for Mount Sinai

DAY SIX | MOUNT SINAI & ST. CATHERINE'S

Sunrise From a Sacred Mountain

While most of Egypt sleeps, our journey begins.

We travel into the mountains of southern Sinai and begin the climb of Mount Sinai, traditionally associated with the biblical story of Moses receiving the Ten Commandments.

Step by step, we make our way upward beneath the night sky.

And then we wait for morning.

Watching sunrise from the mountains of Sinai is less about checking another landmark off your list and more about allowing yourself to be still in a landscape that has held spiritual meaning for centuries.

After descending, we visit St. Catherine's Monastery, an ancient Christian monastery nestled beneath the mountain and home to centuries of religious history and tradition.

Then there is only one appropriate plan:

Rest.

We return, eat, shower and give you the remainder of the day to sleep, book a massage and recover.

Nothing else is required of you.

Overnight & Morning: Mount Sinai hike • Sunrise • St. Catherine's Monastery
Afternoon: Return • Lunch • Sleep • Massage • Complete rest
Evening: Quiet dinner • Early night

SHARM EL SHEIKH

A Little More Indulgence

After the barefoot, bohemian rhythm of Dahab, we return to Sharm El Sheikh for a different side of the Red Sea.

Here, beautiful resorts, island excursions, shopping, restaurants and lively evening destinations give us a chance to balance adventure with a little indulgence.

DAY SEVEN | DAHAB → SHARM EL SHEIKH

From Barefoot to Beautiful

There is no reason to hurry away from Dahab.

Enjoy one last slow breakfast beside the sea, take a final walk along the boardwalk and perhaps say goodbye to whichever café cat has unofficially become yours.

Then we'll make the drive back through the mountains toward Sharm El Sheikh.

After checking into your resort, the afternoon is entirely yours.

Pool. Beach. Spa. Nap.

Tonight, we'll explore SOHO Square, with its shops, restaurants and lively evening atmosphere. Browse, eat, wander and enjoy a completely different side of Sinai.

Morning: Slow Dahab breakfast • Boardwalk • Drive to Sharm
Afternoon: Resort • Beach • Pool • Spa • Rest
Evening: SOHO Square • Shopping • Dinner

DAY EIGHT | TIRAN ISLAND & THE RED SEA

Nothing But Blue

Today we head back onto the water.

A boat journey toward Tiran Island takes us into some of the Red Sea's beautiful marine landscapes, with opportunities to swim and snorkel in clear water surrounded by coral and colorful marine life.

Depending on conditions and the day's route, our Red Sea experience may also include the brilliant waters and pale sands associated with White Island.

This is a full day on the sea—but not a rushed one.

Swim when you want to swim. Stretch out on the boat when you don't. Let the sun and saltwater do their thing.

Back at the resort, the evening is intentionally easy.

A shower, a little rest and dinner whenever you're ready.

Day: Red Sea boat journey • Tiran Island • Snorkeling • Swimming • White Island experience when conditions allow
Evening: Resort • Rest • Spa • Relaxed dinner

DAY NINE | OLD SHARM & A NIGHT TO REMEMBER

Save the Best Seat for Sunset

Our final day in Sinai moves slowly.

Spend the morning sleeping in, enjoying the beach or treating yourself to one last spa experience.

Later, we'll head out to explore Sharm's Old Market, where shops, cafés and local life gather beneath the dramatic silhouette of Al Sahaba Mosque.

From there, we'll make our way to Naama Bay for a walk, a little shopping and time at one of its cafés.

But we're saving tonight's final stop for last.

Farsha Mountain Lounge tumbles down the mountainside in a maze of cushions, lanterns, carpets and terraces overlooking the Red Sea. As daylight fades and hundreds of lights begin to glow, the entire place transforms.

Find your corner.

Order something to drink.

And stay awhile.

There couldn't be a better way to spend our final night in Sinai.

Morning: Sleep in • Beach • Pool • Spa
Afternoon: Old Market • Al Sahaba Mosque • Shopping
Early Evening: Naama Bay • Cafés • Walking
Night: Farsha Mountain Lounge

CAIRO & GIZA

From the Silence of Sinai to the Energy of Cairo

Then everything changes.

We leave the sea and mountains behind and fly into one of the world's great cities.

Cairo is movement, sound and beautiful contradiction—ancient monuments and modern life, minarets and church bells, crowded markets and quiet courtyards, all existing together.

After the spaciousness of Sinai, Cairo's energy feels almost electric.

And we've saved some of Egypt's greatest icons for last.

Rush-hour traffic flowing toward the Nile beneath the Cairo Tower at sunset.

DAY TEN | SHARM EL SHEIKH → CAIRO

Back to the City

Fly from Sharm El Sheikh to Cairo and settle into your hotel.

We deliberately don't schedule major sightseeing today.

You've just spent more than a week swimming, hiking, exploring mountains and moving through Sinai. Today is your transition.

Enjoy lunch, book a treatment, rest beside the pool or simply settle into your room.

Tonight, we'll have a relaxed dinner and prepare for the final chapter of your journey.

Today: Flight to Cairo • Private transfer • Hotel check-in • Lunch • Spa • Rest • Dinner

DAY ELEVEN | THE GRAND EGYPTIAN MUSEUM & PYRAMIDS OF GIZA

Face to Face With the Icons

We begin at the Grand Egyptian Museum, where thousands of years of Egyptian history come together within sight of the pyramids themselves.

Rather than trying to absorb everything, we'll focus on the pieces and stories that help you begin connecting the many chapters of ancient Egyptian civilization.

After lunch and a little breathing room, we head to Giza.

No photograph truly prepares you for standing beneath the Great Pyramid.

We'll explore the Giza Plateau, talk about what we know—and what still inspires questions—about these extraordinary monuments, and give you time to simply stand there and take it in.

As the day softens, we trade sightseeing for something a little more magical:

A sunset camel ride with the pyramids rising behind you.

Tonight, dinner comes with one final ingredient.

A pyramid view.

Morning: Grand Egyptian Museum
Afternoon: Lunch • Giza Plateau • Great Pyramid • Sphinx
Sunset: Camel ride overlooking the pyramids
Evening: Dinner with a pyramid view

DAY TWELVE | OLD CAIRO

Lose Yourself in the City

Today we step away from monumental Egypt and into the winding streets of historic Cairo.

We'll spend the day exploring neighborhoods where centuries of Egyptian life, Islamic architecture, artisans, cafés and markets exist side by side.

This is a day for wandering.

Peek into shops. Drink tea. Look up at centuries-old architecture. Bargain for something you love. Stop for food when we're hungry. Let the streets reveal themselves rather than racing through them.

We'll build in time to return to the hotel and rest before heading back out.

Tonight, we'll take you to one of our favorite local restaurants in the heart of old Cairo—ending the day not somewhere created for tourists, but somewhere we genuinely love.

Morning & Afternoon: Historic Cairo • Walking • Local shops • Markets • Lunch
Late Afternoon: Hotel • Rest • Refresh
Evening: Favorite local restaurant in Old Cairo

DAY THIRTEEN | THREE FAITHS & ONE LAST NIGHT ON THE NILE

The Many Layers of Cairo

Our final full day begins in Old Cairo's historic religious quarter, where important Islamic, Christian and Jewish heritage reveals another layer of Egypt's extraordinarily long story.

Mosques, churches and a historic synagogue remind us that Egypt's history did not end with the pharaohs. For thousands of years, this country has continued evolving through faith, community, culture and the lives of the people who call it home.

After lunch, the afternoon is open for final shopping.

Perhaps there's Egyptian cotton you've been thinking about, jewelry you passed earlier, spices to bring home or gifts still waiting to be found.

Then it's back to the hotel.

Pack a little. Rest a little. Maybe squeeze in one last massage.

Tonight, we return to the river.

Over dinner aboard a Nile cruise, watch Cairo glow around you and think about just how different Egypt looked twelve days ago.

The quiet mountains of Sinai.

The underwater world of the Red Sea.

Barefoot afternoons in Dahab.

Sunrise from Mount Sinai.

The Pyramids of Giza.

The winding streets of Cairo.

So many different versions of Egypt.

One journey.

Morning: Historic religious Cairo • Islamic, Christian & Jewish heritage
Afternoon: Lunch • Final shopping • Packing • Rest • Spa
Evening: Farewell dinner cruise on the Nile

DAY FOURTEEN | UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN

EGYPT IN YOUR HEART

After thirteen nights of adventure, discovery and unforgettable moments, it's time to say goodbye to Egypt—for now.

Depending on your flight schedule, enjoy a leisurely breakfast and a few final moments to reflect on the journey we've shared before your private transfer to Cairo International Airport.

From the turquoise waters of the Red Sea and the peaceful beauty of Sinai to the ancient wonders of Egypt, this journey has been filled with experiences, connections and memories that will stay with you long after you've returned home.

You arrived as our guest, but somewhere along the way, we hope you've come to feel like family.

Until we meet again.

Morning: Breakfast • Final farewells • Reflection time
Afternoon or Evening: Private transfer to Cairo International Airport • Departure (according to flight schedule)

THIS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING

This journey offers a completely different way to meet Egypt.

It is for the traveler who wants the icons—but also the unexpected.

Someone who might be equally happy standing beneath the Great Pyramid and barefoot beside the Red Sea. Who wants adventure, but doesn't believe every hour needs to be filled. Who can climb a mountain beneath the stars one day and spend the next curled up beside the sea doing absolutely nothing.

Maybe you want more diving.

Maybe Mount Sinai has been calling you for years.

Maybe you could happily spend five days doing nothing but yoga, snorkeling and working your way through every café along Dahab's boardwalk.

Maybe you want to add Luxor, spend fewer days in Cairo, upgrade the spa experiences or disappear into the desert for a little longer.

That is exactly what these sample journeys are meant to do.

They aren't packages you have to fit yourself into.

They are simply a glimpse into what is possible.

When we create your Egypt journey, we start with you—always.
