Custom Cartouche creation
Your Cartouche, Created Just for You
In ancient Egypt, a name was more than something you were called—it was part of who you were. To preserve a name was, in a sense, to preserve a person through time. A cartouche, the sacred oval surrounding the hieroglyphs of a royal name, held that identity within its form. Today, a custom cartouche offers a beautiful way to honor your own name while carrying a deeply personal piece of Egypt home with you.
Most cartouches found throughout Egypt are created using the familiar alphabet-to-hieroglyph chart. While beautiful, the ancient language was far more layered. Hieroglyphs representing individual sounds are called uniliterals, and some sounds could be expressed through more than one sign. Across thousands of years, scribes chose symbols according to time, place, meaning and even the visual harmony of the inscription. Your name, therefore, does not necessarily have only one possible expression in hieroglyphs.
This is where the experience with Mostafa becomes something much more personal.
Before choosing a single symbol, Mostafa takes the time to know the person whose name he will be interpreting. Sitting together in Egypt or connecting through one or more Zoom conversations, you’ll explore your name, its meaning, your heritage and lineage, and the connection you personally feel to it.
Then, drawing upon his deep knowledge of Egyptology and hieroglyphics, Mostafa thoughtfully considers the signs available to him and creates an interpretation that feels true to both the ancient language and the person standing behind the name.
What emerges is more than a translation and more than a piece of jewelry. It is your name seen through the language of ancient Egypt—created with intention, rooted in history and made to carry meaning.
A small piece of Egypt becomes part of your story, while your story, in its own beautiful way, becomes part of Egypt’s.
Photo Sessions
Remembering Your Journey
Some moments are meant to be fully lived, and then returned to again and again.
Mostafa has a natural eye for capturing a moment, and many of our guests are surprised by just how beautiful their photos turn out. Throughout your journey, we’ll quietly capture photos and videos along the way: the places you visit, the laughter between destinations, the unexpected moments and the little pieces of Egypt that become part of your story.
We share them as we travel in your private Media WhatsApp group, where you’re welcome to add the moments you capture through your own eyes. After your journey, everything is gathered into a shared Dropbox folder, a beautiful collection of memories to take home with you.
For most of our guests, that’s all the documentation they could want. For others, something more intentional feels right. We’re not professional photographers, but we work with a trusted circle who are, each with their own style. You might choose a private photoshoot at a temple or special place, a photographer who travels alongside us for your entire journey, or something beautifully in between. We’ll explore this together during your early planning conversations and help you find the right fit for your vision and budget.
However you choose to preserve it, our hope is that years from now these images will do more than remind you where you went. They’ll bring you back to the people you met, the moments you shared and the way Egypt made you feel.
Private Temple Rental
Egypt, For a Moment, All Your Own
Imagine stepping into an ancient temple after the gates have closed, when the crowds have disappeared and the stillness of the space begins to reveal itself. In Egypt, private after-hours openings and special-access experiences can sometimes be arranged through official antiquities and tourism channels, allowing you to experience certain archaeological sites in an extraordinarily intimate way. Depending on the site and permissions available, this may mean an early morning or late night visit to places such as Karnak, Philae or even the King’s Chamber at the heart of the Great Pyramid, accompanied by your private Egyptologist and surrounded by a quiet that is rarely experienced during public hours.
It may sound like the kind of experience reserved for someone else—but sometimes, the seemingly impossible is more possible than you think.
Private access requires special permissions, advance coordination and additional fees, which vary considerably by site and are always subject to availability, current regulations and change. Some experiences are significant investments, while others can be surprisingly attainable—particularly when shared among a private group or reserved for just an hour or two.
This is where Mostafa’s relationships throughout Egypt and his experience arranging private site access become invaluable. He understands the people to speak with, the official channels to navigate and the many details that must come together behind the scenes. We handle that process for you so that when your moment arrives, you can simply step inside and be present.
During your early conversations with us, tell us the things you dream about—even the ones that feel a little impossible. We’ll always be transparent about what can be arranged, what it will require and what the investment will be.
Because sometimes the most unforgettable way to meet ancient Egypt is in the quiet—when, for a little while, it feels as though the temple has opened its doors just for you.
Ceremonies &
Vow Renewals
Mark something meaningful
Some moments deserve more than a photograph.
Jennifer is an ordained minister and can lead personal ceremonies during your journey in Egypt: vow renewals, commitment ceremonies, intention-setting rituals or simple blessings, created around your story.
Where your ceremony takes place depends on permission and setting. Some hotels, private homes and outdoor spaces welcome ceremonies freely, while others may require approval or a venue fee. Ceremonies inside temples or at archaeological sites can be challenging to arrange, even with a Private Temple Rental, and are never guaranteed. We’ll always be honest about what’s possible and what it will cost, and we’ll help you find a setting that feels just as meaningful.
Ceremonies in Egypt are symbolic and not legally binding, so if you’re marrying, we recommend completing the legal paperwork at home. What we offer is the moment itself: personal, unhurried and unforgettable.
Tell us what you’d love to celebrate, and we’ll create it together.
Sunrise Yoga
Begin the Day Slowly
Before the temples, before the heat, before the day fully begins, there is the morning.
Jennifer, a certified yoga instructor, offers gentle sunrise yoga for guests who want to start their day grounded, stretched and present. All levels are welcome, no experience needed.
Yoga is easiest to arrange in Luxor and in private stays such as villas or apartments. At hotels, it depends on the property’s permission and space, and some may require a day pass or additional fee. We’ll always let you know what’s possible for your journey during our early planning conversations.
